Vicki and I have been together since 2003 when we met while working on an IT project. Soon after we traveled around Europe, Russia, Mongolia and China together - which ended up being a pretty good test of how we could get along. Vicki had planned to move to Canberra when we got back from our holiday so I found a job in Canberra and we have been together ever since. We are engaged to be married. Most recently we have had a beautiful baby girl Zoe.

Zoe Ann Main

Zoe was born on Wednesday 5th March 2008.
We don't know a lot about her except that she loves milk, dancing and cuddling...

Big Sister - Kathy

kath
My big sister Kathy and I have always been close. She's got herself and fantastic hubbie Tim and two girls (below). Now Kathy and Tim run their own business and bring up the kids. They live in the outer suburbs - which I regularly complain about, but I always have a good time when we catch up.

Little Sisters

I've got three sisters. One older and two younger. The younger ones seem to grow up so quickly any pictures I have of them seem out of date in a few months.. but I have a few here. I love all my sisters to bits and I'm really lucky to have such a great bunch of girls in my family. These pictures are REALLY out of date now and I Liz just turned 16 - I'll have to update these pronto so I don't get in trouble!

Elizabeth

liz

Elizabeth is sixteen now and will soon be on her Learner licence. Both my younger sisters are grown up far beyond their years and are really good with their little nieces.

The picture below was for Elizabeth for Xmas. It's her and the Black Eyed Peas.. Even this simple mod pic took a bit of messing around, but it was good fun and nice to give something you've made for Xmas.

Bronnie

Bronnie is really energetic, active and great fun. It's very rare that I see the girls in a bad mood - I wish I could say the same for myself when I was a teenager.. but then I wouldn't have made a very good goth.

I made this mod for Bronnie ages ago. Looking at it now, I feel like I could do a much better job with my new Photoshop skillz.. but isn't it always the way. . I had to get her to pose in some weird Godzilla stances to get a good pic for this. Not very convincing mod, but was good fun putting it together.

Mum & Paul

mum&paul

Mum and Paul have known each other since before I was born and finally were married in 2007. It's great that mum has someone in her life who spoils her, makes her happy and doesn't take things too seriously.

Dad and Margie

Dad is a mix of a big kid, a dedicated teacher and a great dad. At one stage he single-handedly looked after me and Kath, working full time and teaching students maths while we were SUPPOSED to be eating dinner.

I love showing Dad my latest gadgets, getting out into a park on a bike or a canoe and just hanging out.

Margie and I get along really well. I've always been able to talk to her about the dramas in my life and she always has a unique perspective. Great to have such a smart and loving person in the family - and it doesn't hurt to have a doctor in the family.

Margie has always had a lot of confidence in me which really helps to hear when things don't go to plan.

Rebecca - A pic I took of my youngest niece when we were at my brother in law's parents farm. They have a small dam and a few canoes. We all got in there and had a go. Rebecca wanted to be at the front, with the parents in the back of the boat, paddle and explore.. that's Rebecca in a nutshell!
Jessica is a classic. When I asked Tim (her dad) if he wished he had a boy now that he has two girls he said 'I already have a boy'. Jess doesn't mind a bit of rough and tumble - she's into cars, sport, as well as lots of girlie things!

Pic from Dad's 59th Birthday

It was Dad's 59th birthday some time ago now... We had to put off the our visits because Dad was knee deep in high school maths, writing up the latest edition of the books he's involved in. Nana Gwen made it up from Sale as well. Great to see them all again, talk about gadgets with Dad, crank up the music in the car with my sisters and freak out at how grown up they are getting...

'Special' Family Members

II actually bought this car off a friend while I was looking for a place to live after coming back from the UK. After driving it for a while the owner made me a great deal and I bought my second ever car. It's was cheaper to BUY my first car than insure this one, but god it's fun to drive.

While I was living in Canberra with Vicki I was in the car for about 1.5 hours a day.. that was all the justification I needed to deck the rocket out with some serious doof gear. For those who care - I got Alpine CDA-9815, 4 x Alpines in the car, a Lightning Amp and a Punch P2 12" subbie, oh and a car alarm! The package is now complete with a WMA disk full of Infected Mushroom tracks. Interstate drives are no longer boring!

There's no hiding it... I'm a computer geek. My rig was recently updated with some bells and whistles so it can handle the likes of Crysis (well as much as anyone can) and provide me with a platform for Photoshop, Lightroom, Web authoring, Gaming and generally geeky pursuits. I have an Antec P182 case and I'm often found tearing apart the innards to make changes to drive configuration etc. We have two wireless and one gigabit network in the house with a media center / wifi hub by the entertainment system so we can stream to the TVIX (Dvico) and watch moves etc. Really happy with the way things are running at the moment.

With the urge to overclock both my CPU and GPU - I have a Zalman heat extractor on my CPU and my case has a 200mm fan on it's lid as well as two other 120mm fans with speed control. Letting me push my hardware a bit further than it was designed to, while keeping it all happy.

Recently I have been taking my photography more seriously and getting paid work from clients. As such I have needed to establish a reliable colour management workflow that includes monitor calibration, Adobe workspaces and print and media profiles. The end result is FINALLY - prints with accurate colour that will last longer than commercial prints.
